Opera Videography at the Bankhead Theater — Livermore Valley Opera

I’ve really enjoyed filming opera over the years, and I wanted to share a bit of what goes into it. EKF Productions has filmed opera performances for Livermore Valley Opera at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore, California. These performances were captured using a five-camera setup operated by a single cinematographer from the back of the theater. Audio was recorded using a combination of the theater's hanging microphones, a shotgun microphone, and a discreet stage microphone. The streamlined production approach allows EKF Productions to create professional multi-camera performance videos without requiring a large crew.
